Scenex Lighting add Full Range of IP55 Flexible LED Strips

GLP Inc.’s scenic division, Scenex Lighting, has launched a full range of flexible LED tapes that can easily be incorporated into set pieces or architectural elements, temporarily or permanently.

All of the standard light strips in the range have an IP 55 rating, making them perfectly suitable for outdoor use as well as indoor. Using a strong 3M adhesive backing it is easy to quickly adhere the strips exactly where they are needed and be sure that they will stay there, and as each tape can be cut at small intervals, it’s easy to customize them to fit any layout, piece of furniture or staging. The range is extensive with strips available in a variety of color options, including tricolor RGB LED’s, bright white LED’s at 3200K or 6500K, and a variety of individual single colors.

With a variety of pixel densities up to 17mm to choose from, each strip has a wide field angle of 120 degrees ensuring great even coverage across a wide area – even at close range, or as a great eye candy effect with wide audience viewing angles. All of the LED tapes run from 12V low voltage transformers and can be DMX controlled through a variety of interface options, available in the Scenex range.

Scenex Lighting Announces LED Base4 Truss Toner Fixture

The LED Base4 from Scenex Lighting uses 12 x 3W tri-color RGB LED’s, with a 10° beam angle in a fixture which has been designed specifically to internally light truss pieces. Producing a bright, even beam of light that gives solid coverage, the Base4 offers a broad color palette from pastel to saturates, to work from.
With a square design, low profile and shaped corners, the LED Base 4 has been designed to fit inside standard 12 inch truss, locating easily and squarely every time it is rigged. The LED Base 4 features an auto ranging 90-240V power supply, and Neutrik Powercon input and output connectors for easy daisy chaining. With a maximum power consumption of 52W it means that a lot of Base4’s can be connected together on a single circuit. Weight and transportability have also been taken into account and with a light weight of just 5.5 lbs., the Base4 keeps weight loading on your truss low.

With practical insight, all of the connectors on the Base4 are side mounted allowing the fixture to be placed snugly into the end of your truss and still give easy access to the display driven setup menu and connection points. And for those times when the Base4 needs to be used in special locations, or on special events, the fixture also features a number of internal programs and the option to set a static scene on boot up. GLP Launhes New Division – Scenex Lighting

GLP (German Light Products), has announced the launch of Scenex Lighting; a new company division focused on the scenic elements of todays entertainment lighting industry.
Using LED technology at its core, Scenex Lighting is distributing a range of different fixtures and elements allowing designers to integrate and enhance set pieces with other lighting elements of a show design in a seamless and stylish fashion.
With its product design center based in Germany, the launch product range includes a new dedicated truss toner fixture, utilizing 12 tricolor 3 Watt LED’s, the fixture gives a tight 10 degree beam with a bright output and features data in/out and power in/out connectors mounted on the side of the fixture allowing back to back mounting, and ingeniously comes in a square format to light square truss.

Also available are a full range of low profile LED tapes, in both flexible and fixed housings and rated up to IP55. Incorporating high output LED’s, tapes are available in a variety of colors, color temperatures, and as full color mixing RGB. Flexible tapes have been designed for re-use on temporary sets and stages with the fixed housing tapes geared towards long term productions and permanent installations.

Further products include a range of decorative fixtures including wall and counter mount fixtures with diffuse integral RGB lighting for subtle enhancements, all of which allow easy integration to a productions main lighting scheme. The range even includes 360 degree color mixing globes in sizes of up to 3 feet in diameter.
