The Application Includes:

  • Events (Conference Events Schedule)
  • Sessions (Conference Sessions Schedule)
  • MyConference planning
  • MyExpo planning
  • Exhibitors
  • Convention Center & Expo Maps
  • …and more!

Conference attendees will be able to utilize the app to access times and details for almost everything happening at the USITT 2011 Conference and Stage Expo! You can download the FREE app from the iTunes App Store.

Useful Development Re-Releasing USITT App for iOS AND Droid

I just heard from the iOS developer, Useful Development, that they are re-launching the USITT App for this years Conference and Stage Expo in Charlotte North Carolina. You may remember last years conference when Useful Development announced and released the iOS app, USITT 2010, as a replacement for the printed conference and stage expo guide. The app served as a tool to locate sessions, conference events and of course a map to the stage expo to find any given exhibitor you may have been looking for.

With the upcoming release, it not only is getting update with the 2011 conference and stage expo information, but a couple of other useful additions.  I am not sure yet what some of these new features may be, but one thing now iOS device owners will welcome, the USITT app will be available for the Android as well!

Useful Development has taken all of the feedback and advice from last years conference and revamped and reorganized the app to make it even more powerful of a tool while in Charlotte.  Be on the look out for more information about the USITT app during February.

#USITT iPhone App Updated Right In Time

I just received a message from USITT’s iPhone developer, Useful Development, that a new update to the USITT app has been released to the iTunes App Store. Version 1.0.1 brings a couple of bug fixes from the previous version along with some great additions.  The update brings a searchable database and listing of exhibitors at the Stage Expo along with a pretty handy map of the Expo floor.

The app is still a FREE download and FREE upgrade to current users.  Before you head out the door next week for USITT in Kansas City, make sure to head over to the iTunes App Store and get/update your USITT iPhone App.

Thanks Josh!

USITT Planning Updates to iPhone App

Not to long ago, USITT and Useful Development announced the release of the USITT iPhone App.  Useful Development is the iPhone App developer that worked closely with USITT to design and layout the USITT App that provides the conference and session schedule right on our favorite hand held device.

It looks like USITT and Useful Development are not done with the app.  I have heard through the digital grape vein that development of the iPhone app is not yet done.  While the core of the app is in place and ready, Useful Development has many, MANY more features planned and preparing to release before the Conference and Stage Expo next month.

One of the things that I am excited to hear about is the addition of a floor plan and booth layout of the Stage Expo being added to the iPhone App.  Rather then carrying around a printed copy of the conference guide with the show floor plan, it will be directly accessible via the iPhone App. My under cover operative leaked a couple of screen shots of the next update to the USITT App with “Maps” added. The first of a couple updates to the USITT App are expected to hit the iTunes App Store anytime now with the Maps feature.

There are additional features that will be added to the USITT App, again, before the Conference and Stage Expo next month.  Once my under cover operative is able to sneak additional information out, I’ll be sure to add it here.

If you haven’t done so already, you can download your FREE copy of the USITT app right from the iTunes App Store.  Any and all updates will be free as well.

Here are some screen shots of what the Maps feature will look like when the App is updated.
