Live Events LEVL Up Fest: A Festival to Aid our Industry

By: Justin Lang on September 23, 2020

LEVL UP Fest — A Festival of Music & Stories of Life On and Off the Road is a benefit FOR the Entertainment & Events Industry BY the Entertainment & Events Industry.

Live Events Lift Up Festival is intended to show gratitude for every person who works to make events “go live” and honor the industry that we all care so deeply about.   LEVL UP Fest seeks to raise awareness for the general public about the amazing event pros who work behind the scenes and just how many of us it takes to produce a single event.  The average concert employs over 500 people which is something we know is virtually unknown outside of our industry.  LEVL UP Fest will also raise awareness about what it means to be part of this community and highlight many of the roles involved in live events.   We’ll share stories of “Road Families”, we’ll hear directly from artists about how much their crew means to them, and stories of event pros finding resilience and fortitude in this time of crisis.  We’ll also feature stories of our beneficiaries and great work and positive impact they make for our industry.

LEVL UP Fest has 3 beneficiaries as of today, chosen to tackle 3 primary goals which all ultimately  support the future resiliency and stability of our industry:

  • FINANCIAL SUPPORT:  MusiCares – to provide critical assistance to event professionals who are in crisis as a result of the pandemic.
  • MENTAL HEALTH: The Roadie Clinic – an incredible facility and program to provide mental health and wellness support for our community
  • DIVERSITY:  EVEN (Event Vocational Education Network) We’ve established an endowment for education to support the mission of EVEN which is to create a more diverse and inclusive live events industry through outreach, training and job placement.

LEVL UP Fest will be a virtual festival that will  include music and stories from across North America, along with performances hosted on our concert-ready Nashville stage. More information will be announced on our social channels, our website and via upcoming press releases about our artist line up, our sponsors, how to join the festival, how to purchase merch and support our beneficiaries.  At this time, we have nearly 20 artists committed for either performances or “shout outs” with many more in ongoing negotiations.  We are also actively negotiating sponsorships and have multiple opportunities available on our website for interested brands.

LEVL UP Fest can be found on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter @LEVLUPFest. Our website is www.liveeventsliftup.org  Along with more details and upcoming announcements, our visitors will also find several places to “Share Your Crew”.  Our site features an uploader tool where anyone can submit pictures or a 20 second clip of themselves and their crew.  We’re collecting photos so that we can include as many “faces behind events” as possible on our social channels leading up to the Festival and throughout the show.    While our social posts will include other hashtags as well, our primary tags are #LEVLUPFest #EventsAid #ShareYourCrew #Showmakers
