Production Resource Group, L.L.C. (PRG) announced today that it has acquired New York-based Pow! Pix. The acquisition marks PRG’s entry into the rental of post-production equipment and services, specializing in on-site editing for live event and other broadcasts.

For over 15 years, Emmy award-winning Pow! Pix has provided equipment and engineering services to clients such as ABC, CBS, NBC, HBO and MTV. Projects include: The Daily Show/The Colbert Report, Olympic venues, the Super Bowl, reality shows, game shows, corporate events such as product launches and numerous documentaries. Post production facilities in central New York City include seven state-of-the-art editing suites, two mix rooms – one of which is a Dolby HD 5.1 Surround Sound mix room. Pow! Pix principal, Bob Barzyk will continue with the company as Vice President of Post-production.
