Roadie Rescue Campaign Needs Your Support and is Here to Help

By: Justin Lang on March 20, 2020

We are ALL affected by what is happening right now. Some of us worse than others.  If you have the means and can help support our brothers and sisters that are hurting the most, please consider donating.

In the shadows of the stage, beyond the reach of the lights, stand tens of thousands of tireless, dedicated, selfless professionals on which the entertainment industry relies; Roadies. Without them, today’s extravaganzas would not be possible, performances dull, artists alone in the dark.

These behind-the-scenes artisans are more often than not, independent contractors, living show to show, check to check, lacking the usual financial security of some other professions during state-of-emergency scenarios such as the one our global community is experiencing now.

In response to a frustratingly dark time for the live event industry, the collaborative Roadie Rescue Campaign has been formed in partnership with Take1 Insurance, Alive Risk, Clair Global, Griffin360, Event Safety Alliance, Merch Roadie, Show Makers Symposium, and YOU are committed to helping our sisters and brothers most in need to make ends meet in scenarios such as these. Monies raised for emergency expenses via the Roadie Rescue Go Fund Me Campaign will go directly to MusiCares to assist professionals affected by the pandemic.

Born of an idea to help provide assistance to those whose craft is intentionally little known, the fund calls on one-time or recurring donations from anyone who appreciates the hard-working humans behind the scenes and the product they deliver bringing music and entertainment to life.
