MA Lighting launched their latest update to their entire grandMA3 series of consoles and nodes, version 2.4.2.2. Or more simply, 2.4. As expected with any software update, new features and long awaited functions are included in the release. Added to that, some major and minor bugs have been caught in the fly trap.

Here are the big updates from the Release Notes:

Phaser Workflow
The new Phaser Recipes will bring your phaser workflow to the next level – including some great new functionalities to your dynamic show elements.

Preset Improvements
You want to use your stored presets for all fixtures at any time? The powerful Universal call mode makes it possible now – even for MAgic presets!

Preview
With the Preview functionality, you keep the overview of the future in your show. You want to know what happens in the next cue or in a complete different sequence? Use Preview to have a look and update your scenes without seeing it on the output.

MVR Improvements
Choosing the elements you want to get from an MVR file – this is what you can do now with v2.4. MVR is now included in the Partial Show Read and gives us much more flexibility.

Phone Tethering
Are you working out in the field and looking for a fixture type which is not available on your console? Phone Tethering makes sure you can use your mobile data to directly connect to the online fixture shares!
