Kevin Lee Allen Joins Student Lighting Design Competition Judging

We are happy to announce that Lighting and Set Designer Kevin Lee Allen will be joining the faculty as a judge for the 2012 Student Lighting Design Competition. “I am thrilled to include Mr. Allen to the judging committee of the Student Lighting Design Competition.” says Justin Lang, Editor of iSquint.net. “He is a well respected designer and has superior knowledge and understanding of Vectorworks.” adds Lang.

Kevin Lee Allen is a multiple–award–winning scenic and lighting designer who works in theatre, film, television, museums, and corporate environments; including architainment, exhibits, fashion, and special events. Notable projects include work for Fox News, the United States Government, CNN and CNN International, a virtual interview with Benjamin Franklin and productions of Romeo & Juliet, The Tempest, and the Chase Bank Flagship Signage in Times Square. His design sketches are held in  private collections and in the permanent collection of the Library of Congress.

Mr. Allen has been a Vectorworks user since MiniCAD Version 3 and has been using the program as a 3D modeler since that time. He has taught Vectorworks on the university level and has given Vectorworks lectures and demonstrations at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Region 2 Festivals.
